Whilst slurry provides extra nitrogen, it also kills the organisms that make nutrients available to your grass. The slurry covers the soil surface and stops air from getting into the soil surface, and the soil also turns acidic. Both of these conditions, caused by slurry, kills worms and soil microbes, and mineralisation stops. The cure is to apply Timac Physiolith to encourage the return of soil microbes which break up the slurry, and also rapidly returns the soil to the correct pH. Follow this up with Kainit, a source of Sodium, Potassium, Sulphur and Magnesium, to raise fertility. The treatment concludes with our seaweed spray Goemar to give the grass a boost and to mantain healthy soil conditions.
